Personal information

Evelien de Hoop is an assistant professor. Her work focusses on historiographical intervention, which mobilizes historical research in transdisciplinary STS. She holds an MPhil degree with Honours in Geography and the Environment from Oxford University.

Evelien de Hoop is leads the SOY STORIES project, funded by NWO, a transdisciplinary history collaboration between the Athena Institute, the TU Eindhoven's History Lab and the Univeridade Federal da Fronteira Sul in Chapéco, Brazil. She is also one of the initiators of the alternatives2extractivism initiative hosted by the Eduardo Mondlane University in Maputo, Mozambique. 

Evelien de Hoop also coordinates the PhD training programme of WTMC, the Netherlands Graduate School of Science, Technology and Modern Culture.
