Personal information

Eva van Rosmalen is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Criminology at VU Amsterdam. She is a member of the Amsterdam Laboratory for Legal Psychology (ALLP). She holds a bachelor's in Psychology from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a master's in Legal Psychology from Maastricht University. Her work focuses on expert witness evidence, cognitive bias and eyewitness testimony. 

Research
Eva van Rosmalen conducts research on bias in expert witness reports within the field of legal psychology. Her work focuses on identifying factors that may influence experts' evaluations and conclusions, as well as developing and testing interventions to reduce bias in expert assessments. Her PhD project is funded by an NWO Open Competition M grant. In addition to her PhD research, she has conducted research on eyewitness memory, collaborative interviewing, and consistency as a cue for deception.
