Eva van Rosmalen is a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Criminology at VU Amsterdam. She teaches courses in Legal Psychology, Statistics and Personal and Professional Identity, and supervises both bachelor’s and master’s theses. After earning her bachelor's degree in Psychology in Rotterdam, Eva pursued a master's in Legal Psychology at Maastricht University, where her research focused on the effects of MDMA on false memories. Previously, she worked as a lecturer and trainer in Psychology at Erasmus University Rotterdam and Utrecht University. Together with Annelies Vredeveldt, she investigated the effects of collaborative eyewitness interviewing in the field, with their findings published in the Journal of Criminal Psychology. Her research interests include eyewitness testimony, expert witnesses, and cognitive bias.
