David Kroon is an Associate Professor of Strategy & Organization at the School of Business and Economics of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He received his Ph.D. from Tilburg University, and a Research Master degree (cum laude) and a BSc in Business Economics (cum laude) from the same university. He is currently also an Affiliate Member of the European M&A Institute.

David's current research focuses on interorganizational collaboration, organizational change, and post-M&A integration, with a particular emphasis on "the human aspect" (e.g., identity, justice, trust, and emotions). His work has been published in leading academic journals such as Academy of Management Journal, International Journal of Management Reviews, Journal of Management Studies, Long Range Planning, Group & Organization Management, and Management International Review. He also published several book chapters which were published by Routledge, Emerald Group, Edward Elgar, and Oxford University Press. Finally, he won several prizes at academic conferences for his articles and review activities.
David is involved in teaching at undergraduate, graduate and MBA level. His courses focus on strategy, international collaboration and (qualitative) research methodology. Next to this, he is involved in thesis supervision (for students at all levels). He obtained his Basis Kwalificatie Onderwijs (BKO) in 2013 and his Senior Kwalificatie Onderwijs (SKO) in 2020.
