Born and educated in France (Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne; Université Rennes 1). From 1996 til 2010 worked at the Law Faculty of Utrecht University first as Ph-researcher and later as Assistant Professor. Obtained her doctorate in 2006 in Utrecht under the supervision of Prof. E.H. Hondius on a comparative law research entitled 'La résolution du conflit de conditions générales. Une étude comparative', on the Battle of Forms.
