Chantal Mahé is Assistant Professor at the Law Faculty at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and affiliated as researcher with the Kooijmans Institute. Her expertise lies in the fields of Dutch and French Contract Law. Born and educated in France (Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne; Université Rennes 1), she obtained her PhD in 2006 in Comparative Private Contract Law (the Battle of Forms) from the University of Utrecht under the supervision of Prof. E.H. Hondius.
Since 2010, she has been working at the Department of Private law of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Prior to this appointment, she worked at the Faculty of Law of Utrecht University from 1996 to 2010, first as PhD researcher and later as an Assistant Professor.
