I am a PhD Candidate in the department of Environmental Economics at the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM). I have a BSc in Environmental Sciences and a MSc in Geoinformation Science with a focus on Natural Hazards and Risk Reduction. My MSc thesis focused on the integration of methodologies from data analysis, geoinformation science, and econometrics through the application of an spatial econometric model to understand socioeconomic vulnerability structures and spillover effects related to flood impacts.
I am interested in the areas of climate finance and climate justice, vulnerability, climate change, but mostly the application of multidisciplinary approaches to solve research questions related to these topics. Currently for my PhD I will work with agent-based models to asses insurance solutions for multi-hazard risk in the face of climate change. I will work on this as part of the INSUREADAPT project.
