Research Associate, Faculty of Science, Environmental Geography

Personal information

My research focuses on scenario development for sustainable futures. Currently, I am working with the NaturaConnect project to map the three different Natures Futures Framework storylines using the spatially explicit land systems model CLUMondo. Specifically, I consider the way that different values of nature - that is intrinsic value, value for ecosystem services, or value for cultural connections - translate into different land-use decisions and visions of a good future. Of particular interest to me is how these different visions may lead to different justice outcomes by considering certain communities needs over others. By engaging in such questions I hope to continue to develop my research focus around environmental justice and the politics of land.
