Brit Maria Bulah is a postdoctoral researcher at the Athena Institute, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Her research focuses on the governance of sustainability transitions, stakeholder engagement, and the dynamics of knowledge and innovation systems in the context of food system transformation. She contributes to several EU-funded projects, including:

VISION4FOOD, which develops forward-looking scenarios and transition pathways for sustainable and resilient food systems;

CLEVERFOOD, which fosters cross-sectoral collaboration, citizen engagement, and policy alignment to accelerate food system transformation in Europe; and

FOSTER, which advances innovative governance and learning approaches to enhance the resilience and inclusivity of European food systems.
Through this work, she aims to generate actionable insights that support more sustainable, just, and future-proof food systems.
