I am a climate scientist, generally interested in water, including the water cycle and water-related extremes. My research focuses on regional hydroclimate variability and extremes (such as drought and extreme rainfall) and their connections to the large-scale atmospheric circulation, from subseasonal to decadal and longer time-scales. I am also interested in how these processes are captured by climate models. To explore these areas, I utilize data-driven statistics and a range of climate model complexities to exploit information from observations and model ensembles.
