dr. Ayse Sena Eruguz

Assistant Professor, School of Business and Economics, Operations Analytics

Personal information

(Ayse) Sena Eruguz is an assistant professor at the department of Operations Analytics, the School of Business and Economics.

Prior to joining the VU Amsterdam, Sena was an assistant professor at Erasmus University Rotterdam and a postdoctoral researcher at Eindhoven University of Technology. She obtained her Ph.D. in industrial engineering at CentraleSupélec (formerly known as Ecole Central Paris) in France.

Research

Sena's research interests are in operations research and its applications in supply chains, inventory control, maintenance, after sales service logistics, e-commerce logistics, and sustainability. Her research is mostly practice driven since she has worked with companies from the high-tech and maritime industry. 

Teaching

Sena is the coordinator and lecturer for the following courses:

  • E-Commerce Supply Chain Management
  • Procurement and Supply Management
  • Sustainable Operations
