Aniko is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Organization Sciences at VU Amsterdam and a Researcher at the Centre for Global Higher Education at the University of Oxford.

Aniko’s research focuses on system-level governance in higher education; the impact of locality and region on institutional governance; the role of the state and marketization in higher education; processes of control, compliance and contestation in universities; as well as inequalities, class and employment relations within academia.
