Angela Prins (1992) is working as an external PhD-student at the clinical neuropsychology department, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and as a psychologist at Atlant (Elderly Care) in Beekbergen. Her research focuses on the effects of an enriched environment on cognition and quality of life in nursing home residents with dementia. She is particularly interested in implementing non-pharmacological interventions, i.e. multi-sensory stimulation, in nursing homes.

- The main study focusses on implementation and examining the effects of an Enriched nursing home environment on the residents' functioning and wellbeing. Quasi-Experimental Longitudinal multi-center trial in collaboration with Atlant Elderly Care in Beekbergen and Stichting Reigershoeve in Heemskerk.
- A pilot study about the effects of Bright Light therapy and Biodynamic Lighting on sleep quality, rest-activity rhythm, neuropsychiatric symptoms and quality of life in nursing home residents with dementia.
