dr. Andre De Zutter, MPhil
As a legal psychologist his research interest is at the intersection between applied psychological science, cognitive, social, and experimental psychology, and the legal system. His primary focus is on sexual assault, sextortion, Image Based Sexual Abuse (IBSA), deepfake and deepnudes. He is the Dutch expert on the difference between true and fabricated allegations of rape. But he is also interested in how stress, time and questioning techniques affect what people remember, the validity of statements. Police line-ups (Oslo confrontations), false confessions, and decision-making are his other areas of interest.
He teaches several courses in the Bachelor of Criminology, the bachelor Law in Society, and the minor Forensic Criminology.
