Personal information

Ana Isabel Lopes is an Assistant Professor in Corporate Communication at the Department of Communication Sciences, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. She has a PhD in Applied Economics from the University of Antwerp. 
Ana founded the CSR Science Hub at VU Amsterdam, connecting researchers and communication professionals to understand and improve the societal impact of corporate social responsibility.

Research

Ana's research interests cover several areas within corporate commuication, marketing communications and public relations, with most recent work being on the social responsibility of organizations and how it can benefit society and lead to sustainable consumption. Her reserach also focuses on how online reviews and webcare (managerial responses to online reviews) are processed and influence behaviour and business.
