Amber Zegers (1994) has an academic background in Occupational Health Psychology and Forensic Psychology. She is currently finishing up her PhD at Amsterdam UMC into sustained employability of cancer survivors and their partners (funded by Dutch Cancer Society). In parallel, she is finishing up a research project at the VU into combining work and informal caregiving (funded by Instituut Gak). In 2027, Amber will work on a new, large-scale research project into improving inclusivity in psychosocial oncology research (funded by Dutch Cancer Soc iety) at UMCU.

Research
Amber's research fields concern: healthy working, psychosocial oncology, cancer and work, informal caregiving and work. She is experienced in quantitative and qualitative research methods, and will continue to develop herself in 2027 in participatory action research methods.
Teaching
In her PhD position at Amsterdam UMC, Amber has co-supervised 10 research interns and helped in courses like Oncology & Public Health. In her current postdoc position, she has co-supervised a Master's student. She does not currently hold a teaching position.
