Alfons van Marrewijk, PhD, is Associatie Professor at the Department Organization Sciences, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (0,5 fte), Full Professor Construction Cultures (0,2 fte) at the Department of Management in the Built Environment at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at the Delft University of Technology, and Adjunct Professor of Project Management at BI Oslo (0,2 fte). His academic work shows in-depth interests of the everyday life of employees in technically oriented organizations and complex mega-projects in the construction and infrastructure sector. He has published more than 30 scientific papers on cultural change, collaboration and spatial settings and project management in journals such as Organization Studies, British Journal of Management, International Journal of Project Management, Building Research & Information and Long Range Planning. Van Marrewijk works in close collaboration with public and industry partners in the construction and infrastructure sector and frequently acts as an expert consultant.
