dr. Agnieszka Borowska
Assistant Professor, School of Business and Economics, Econometrics and Data Science
Agnieszka's research interests cover a range of areas in Bayesian and computational statistics, in particular sampling-based methods for prediction and inference, with applications to risk evaluation, state space models, high-dimensional problems with intractable likelihood, and black-box optimisation. She has worked on computational methods such as Monte chain Monte Carlo, approximate Bayesian computation, Bayesian optimisation, and Gaussian processes. Her recent interdisciplinary work had been on statistical inference for complex biophysical models for medical problems.
Since 2025 Agnieszka has been teaching and coordinating Fundamentals of Time Series Econometrics (minor Applied Econometrics course) and Data Science Project (BSc course). Besides, she has been supervising MSc and BSc theses.
