Silenced memories and hidden knowledges: Resisting violence

Researchers affiliated with this theme explore the relationships between memories, hidden knowledges, and various experiences of violence, along with the forms of resistance that emerge in response to this.

By examining personal and collective memories, we seek to unearth the often overlooked or suppressed knowledges held by marginalized communities affected by various forms of violence. This theme aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of the complexities surrounding violence, knowledge, and memory, and to highlight the importance of integrating marginalized voices and knowledges into broader social and academic discourses.
