Security Topic: ReSCU

Within the Security theme of the ReSCU Lab, researchers explore how safety and security are organized and experienced in a range of settings: Locally, nationally, and internationally. This includes research on policing, surveillance, counterterrorism, border control, and broader questions around how governments, organizations, and communities respond to perceived threats.

The focus lies on understanding how security is practiced on the ground: how policies take shape, how they affect people’s lives, and how different groups experience safety in different ways. Trust, legitimacy, and inclusion are central themes running through this work.

Together, these projects aim to better understand not only how security works, but also how it could work better for everyone.
