Research topic: Innovation

Organisational and technological innovations can contribute to sustainable, people-centred healthcare. However, in practice, it can be challenging to realise these effects.

The development, dissemination and implementation of innovations is an intricate social process that requires organizational change. As a result, innovations can be hindered by difficult cooperation, vested interests, ingrained habits, and other obstacles. How do innovation processes unfold? What are the institutional obstacles in this process? In the Lab, we develop scientific insights that we use to inform the everyday practice of administrators, policymakers, healthcare providers, patients, and external parties.
