Research theme: Identities

By prioritizing health and wellness rather than running a healthcare service, not only does the organizational logic of the system change but also the roles and identities of managers, policymakers, healthcare professionals, patients, citizens, residents, and their loved ones.

The increasing demand for care and rising personnel shortages are putting pressure on interrelationships and cooperation between the various parties. The transition requires a reweighting of vested interests and a redefinition of everyone's role concerning other parties. This requires a social science understanding of identity processes, change processes, and cooperation issues.
