From personalized learning tools to automated feedback systems, AI has the potential to support teachers and tailor education to individual student needs. However, it also risks narrowing learning to what is easily measurable, reinforcing existing inequalities, and diminishing the human interaction central to education.
At the same time, the rise of AI raises important questions about data privacy, the evolving role of educators, and how we define meaningful learning in a digital age. Educators, policymakers, and researchers must critically reflect on how AI is implemented in schools—not only to ensure its responsible use, but also to safeguard inclusive, ethical, and future-ready education systems.
