Projects for clients

We also do assignments for consultancies, and other business organisations in the form of contract research, or in-house trainings for consultancies.

We can also do second opinions. Some examples of our projects are listed below. In these projects we can engage students as research assistant, which lowers the price. Staff remains responsible. If you are interested is such projects as potential client, please contact: Onno Bouwmeester o.bouwmeester@vu.nl.

Projects for Ministry of VWS

The ministry of VWS has asked us to do a one-day workshop with their internal advisers on ‘reporting and argumentation’ in 2024, and again in 2025. In addition they have asked us to do a workshop on ‘Consulting and Ethics’ in 2025, both in Dutch. Prof. Onno Bouwmeester is giving the workshops, based on his publications and expertise in these areas.

Project for PwC

PWC asked for a strategic outlook for hospitals in the context of institutional change due to liberalization in 2010. The project was based on interviews with clients of PWC, desk research and analysis. The output was a strategy report.

Projects for De Beuk Adviseurs

For De Beuk Adviseurs we investigated their unique consulting approach based on interviews with the consultants, in order to help them with better expressing their approach to future clients. Part of the design was also to observe them during some projects. The output was a presentation for the consultants and an article in which we described the approach of De Beuk.

De Beuk Adviseurs also asked us to do a study on ‘inclusive consulting’, based on the projects executed by de Beuk . We did interviews with consultants, their clients and studied the subject with help of academic literature. The process was also based on several group discussions with all consultants on the key characteristics of inclusive consulting, based on own experiences and client questions. Next to giving input to these conversations, the output was a research report.

Project for Solving Efeso

Solving Efeso asked to evaluate a performance management intervention. We did two case studies at clients of Solving Efeso, and analysed the results of the interventions. The results were interpreted with help of theory on performance management. The output was a research report.

Project for Bureau voor Toegepaste Filosofie (BTF)

For BTF we performed a conversation analysis. The owner was involved in conversations with managers in banking sector on past decisions and their rationality. Based on socratic dialogues she unravelled assumptions and raised consciousness for the motives behind decisions. We taped, transcribed and analysed the conversations, and the Socratic interventions, and interpreted them with help of theories on organizational learning and Socratic conversations. The output was a research report.
