Mini jaw crusher

The mini jaw crusher is made for small amounts of sample (particals finer than 2,5 mm) or minerals that still have some intergrown particals. The removable jaw is adjustable. The distance between the jaws can be adjusted from 1 mm to 0.1 mm.

First the sample will be broken in the coarse position. Finally the finest stand will be used. Subsequently, samples will be sieved.
Laboratory coat and work gloves must be used, as well as safety glasses. Check if the machine, particularly the 'jaw' is clean. Use the compressed air and a small wire brush.

THE PRINCIPLE OF CRUSHING

The jaw crusher consists of a detachable and a fixed jaw.

The distance between the jaws can be adjusted (1.0 - 0.1 mm) and determines the maximum passage and thus the eventual grain size of the crushed material. The crushing movement is made by the fixed jaw.

• Stainless steel container

METHOD

The sample must be broken coarsely at first. Put the jaw into the machine, lower the splash shield (mind protection) and set the adjustable jaw distance in position. Turn on the drilmachine up to a speed of 80 rpm.  Insert the sample by depositing it into the open space at the top. Have the machine "empty its mouth" before inserting the next fragments. Afterwards sieving will take place the procedure will be repeated in positions finer positions.

CLEANING

Afterwards the equipment must be cleaned thoroughly. Take out the jaw and work it with the compressed air wire brush. The fixed part of the jaw crusher must be cleaned similarly. The rest of the machine has to be cleaned with the vacuum cleaner.  The sieves used must be shaken in the ultrasonic cleaner. The work top and the floor must be wiped off with a wet cloth.
