Meetellen Amsterdam

Meetellen Amsterdam is a research agency specializing in utilizing experiential knowledge to amplify the voices of people in vulnerable positions.

Over the past few years, Meetellen has grown from a start-up project into a well-established research agency with a clear mission. They now have 10 staff members, forming a strong and well-trained team experienced in all aspects of conducting research.

They conduct research on various themes within the social domain, such as unemployment, mental or physical health issues, homelessness, debt, or loneliness, always focusing on the client's voice. Meetellen uses both qualitative and quantitative research to inform municipalities and organizations on how people in vulnerable positions can be supported.

Meetellen Amsterdam is a self-managing research agency focused on participatory research. Their mission is to involve the people affected in the research, right at the places where it happens. This means that Meetellen involves the people they want to interview in both the content and the design of the research. Meetellen collaborates with other researchers and encourages them to adopt the same participatory approach. Furthermore, Meetellen enjoys engaging in discussions with organizations about the research findings and their implications for practice. In these conversations, they not only share research results but also their expertise in experiential knowledge.
