This interactive workshop was a theoretical/practical introduction to the computation of (non-)linear brain dynamics and their statistical analysis, using Information Theory. It is now agreed upon that phenomena like perception, attention and predictions heavily rely on large-scale information integration; investigating and understanding how brain regions exchange information is therefore crucial to comprehend how cognitive processes come to be. However, researchers often skip inter-areal communication analysis due to its complexity. In this workshop, iBBA members learnt from two leading experts how to gauge highly complex (non-)linear brain dynamics using stateof-the-art analysis tools derived from Information Theory.
