Granted application for a (Methods) Workshop 2025

"Vision as prediction: learning, action, and biases", by Nicolás Sánchez-Fuenzalida

A central challenge in vision science is understanding how contextual information and expectations modulate sensory input and how internal states engage with visual processing. This workshop will explore how prior beliefs, learning and internal states shape visual perception by integrating insights from cognitive neuroscience, computational modelling, clinical research and behavioural science.

Nicolás Sánchez-Fuenzalida is a postdoc in the Cognitive Psychology section. The workshop will be of interest to most members of iBBA. It will not only provide a theoretical introduction to predictive coding but it will also feature presentations on vision from a diverse range of disciplines.
