VU Amsterdam Summer School 2026 was held between 5 July and 2 August. During their time in Amsterdam, students got to experience intensive study programmes alongside seeing what life is like in the Dutch capital.
This year's summer school got underway with introductory snacks, drinks, and games of table tennis at PONG in Amsterdam West. Students had the opportunity to meet some of their new classmates and relax in a new environment, as well as ask any questions about their stay from one of the summer school staff present. The academic week started for everyone on Monday with a special introduction and tour of the campus, before students headed straight to class.
During their stay, students also experienced some of the highlights of Amsterdam as part of our planned social activities, which included visits to the Van Gogh Museum and The Anne Frank House, city tours, and boat rides.
Studying a summer school course is an intensive experience with a high workload that students often find demanding, but also extremely rewarding.
