The courses supported are Smart Systems Engineering, Software and Systems Testing, and CS Bachelor project. Featured systems are: small-scale autonomous cars and trains, the NXP cup winning VU-Rover race car, an automated insulin pump and a Smart Home.
This prize is a nice recognition of years long collaboration between students and teachers, and between the CS department, the VU Technology Center and the Faculty of Law.
The ASE team is led by Natalia Silvis-Cividjian (assistant professor CS) and consists of Joshua Kenyon (junior teacher), Elias Groot and Max Gallup (students CS), Rob Limburg and Niels Althuisius (Electronic Engineering Group), Joost Rosier and Frans Hendriks (High Precision Mechanics and Engineering Group), and Rob van den Hoven van Genderen (Law Faculty, VU).
In 2025, we extended the ASE BSc project supervision team with more CS researchers including Ilias Gerostathopoulos, Erik v/d Kouwe, Ivano Malavolta, Atze van der Ploeg and Kees Verstoep. Read more on ase.vu.nl.
