From 5 to 9 October 2026, the libraries of three higher education institutions in Amsterdam, will jointly organise an Erasmus+ Staff Week. The theme of this event will be Research and Education Supported by Amsterdam Libraries.
What to expect
Experts at the libraries of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU), Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS), and University of Amsterdam (UvA) will highlight different aspects of how they support education and research at their respective institutions and will showcase some of their initiatives and best practices.
Examples of topics that will be discussed are:
- The use of library services and collections in learning environments
- Research Data Management
- Research impact and valorisation
- Support for open Educational Resources
- Opportunities and challenges of AI in the library practice
The detailed program will be finalised at a later date.
The schedule for the week will be as follows:
- Monday morning: no programme to allow for travel
- Monday afternoon & Tuesday: hosted by VU Amsterdam
- Wednesday: hosted by Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS)
- Thursday & Friday morning: hosted by University of Amsterdam (UvA)
- Friday afternoon: no programme to allow for travel
