The bachelor's programmes Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) and Literature and Society have once again been awarded the Top Programme quality label in the Keuzegids Universiteiten 2027.
For PPE, this marks the fourth consecutive year in which the programme has received the Top Programme distinction. Its score also increased this year, rising from 92 to 95 points.
“Receiving the Top Programme quality label for the fourth year in a row is a very special recognition for PPE. Seeing our score increase from 92 to 95 points this year is a wonderful acknowledgement of the high-quality multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary education our programme offers. It not only confirms our achievements, but also motivates everyone involved in the John Stuart Mill College to maintain this success in the future.”
With 95 points, PPE also achieved second place in the national ranking.
Literature and Society was also once again recognised as a Top Programme. Students particularly value the programme's strong sense of community and the quality of its teaching staff, both of which received above-average ratings.
“What a wonderful recognition from our students. We are especially pleased to have been named a Top Programme because we emphasize the human and social aspects of literature: human imagination, creativity, and critical thinking are vital to society, especially now. It’s great that this is recognized.”
These distinctions highlight the quality of education within the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities and reflect the commitment of staff and students who contribute every day to an inspiring academic environment.
