Peter: “I am very honoured with this recognition of my work, but mostly see this as an appreciation of the work that my research group is doing within the IVM (Institute for Environmental Studies) in addressing the large societal challenges related to climate change and biodiversity loss. We focus our analysis in the role of humans and land use as a cause of these problems, but also on how land use can play a contribution to solving this double crisis. The election as a member of NAS indicates the important role our faculty plays in this type of research.”
