Good news for everyone who places orders: S/4HANA has been improved in several ways. The ordering process remains the same, but several minor adjustments have been made so that S/4HANA now better aligns with day-to-day operations at VU Amsterdam.
There is also a new app available in S/4HANA that makes it easier to find information about previous orders. These improvements are part of the broader program to optimize the procurement process.
Please note: chemicals, gases, and lab supplies must still be ordered through Lab Servant. See Lab Servant for more information.
All ordering information in one place
The information page for purchasers has been updated. On Bestellen.VU (S/4HANA), you’ll find all the latest guides and information for purchasers. A new, comprehensive guide to the ordering process has been created, featuring practical explanations and helpful tips. Also, be sure to check out the guide “Monitoring Order Lines” if you’re curious about the new app.
The Procurement Service Desk is constantly working to improve its services. We regularly share updates on new developments and improvements with purchasers. In addition, we assess the needs of our purchasers and identify which instructions and training sessions are desired, so that we can tailor our support accordingly.
The Bestellen.VU (S/4HANA) page is updated regularly. Be sure to bookmark the page and check back often to see if new information is available.

Check Your Work Location in SuccessFactors
Finally, here’s a tip: check to make sure your workplace information in SuccessFactors is correct. The Central Goods Receiving Department uses this information to deliver mail, packages, and orders to the correct location. Is your information incorrect? If so, please update it under “Workplace” on the VU Service Portal.
