Last month, the fifth—and therefore anniversary—edition of the Career Night took place. Together with the FSR, Career Services organized this event in the Kerkzaal, resulting in an evening full of information and inspiration for students regarding their future career paths!
The evening kicked off with a speech by Dean Gregor Halff and FSR Chair Piotr Jaworski. Following these speeches, the first round was scheduled, featuring an alumni panel and a workshop, among other things! At the same time, a job fair, CV checks, and a LinkedIn photographer were on hand to assist the students!
After the first round, it was time for the dinner break. During the dinner break, alumni, speakers, guests, and students came together in an accessible manner. Students could ask alumni that one question they hadn't asked yet, and alumni could see what students are really working on right now.
Finally, the second and final round took place. With two workshops and an alumni panel, it was a busy conclusion, but that did not diminish the students' attendance and participation. Here too, the alumni were thoroughly questioned, and the workshop speakers provided the students with useful career tips.
After all the career activities, we closed the evening with a small-scale get-together. Over a drink, we looked back on the evening with great pleasure, and we still do. One student even won the lottery during this gathering and did not go home empty-handed. Although the panels and workshops ensured that every student got something out of the evening!
