International Women's Day: Invest in yourself and gender equality

Share
5 March 2026
On 8 March, we celebrate International Women's Day worldwide. A day dedicated to solidarity and visibility. But above all, a day to reflect on what is still needed to achieve true gender equality - in the workplace and beyond.

Differences in opportunities, remuneration, advancement possibilities and work-life balance still exist. So delve into themes that contribute to a strong, inclusive and future-proof working environment.

Knowledge and awareness are the basis for change. Through Learning & Development and GoodHabitz, VU Amsterdam offers training courses that support your development. And especially for International Women's Day, we are highlighting the following training courses:

  • Gender equality: Learn more about gender equality in 40 minutes and how you can contribute to change (online)
  • Work-life balance: Keeping all the balls in the air difficult? Life can be a circus, but you are the director. Duration: 4 hours (online)
  • Working vitally and menopause: An interactive and informative session on how hormones affect your body, your energy and your functioning. This training lasts 2.5 hours, takes place live at VU Amsterdam, and is scheduled for 12 May and 24 September.
