The Executive Board has reappointed Aletta Kraneveld as Dean of the Faculty of Science.
“We are delighted with Aletta Kraneveld's reappointment. Through her strength, vision and tireless commitment, she has achieved significant progress in research, education, knowledge transfer and faculty operations, even under challenging circumstances. Her leadership has made the faculty stronger, more resilient and better prepared for the future. We wish her every success in her renewed term and look forward to continuing our collaboration,” said the Rector Magnificus Jeroen Geurts.
The reappointment will take effect on 1 December 2026 for a term of four years. Aletta Kraneveld commented: “I am immensely proud of the colleagues across our faculty, who dedicate themselves every day to excellence and innovation in science and engineering through their teaching, research and the translation of knowledge into societal impact. Their work contributes to fundamental solutions to the major societal challenges of our time. I look forward to continuing to build on these achievements together over the next four years.”
In accordance with the usual procedures, the representative advisory bodies were involved in the appointment process.
