We need to move away from the bubble mentality in education

“In my field, I meet many people from the neighbourhood who know exactly what’s going on in society. Why don’t we bring that knowledge into education?”

With that question, Barbara Groot-Sluijsmans, assistant professor of Health Sciences, began her research on experiential expertise and collaboration between vocational, applied sciences and university students. Through her work within the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), Barbara explores how education can be renewed and better connected. Read the full interview.
