Jasper van der Kemp from VU was closely involved in establishing the agreement. He has been collaborating with Huddersfield for some time within the Police Doctoral Academy, an international program for practice-oriented doctoral research. This initiative led to the decision to formalize the cooperation.
The signed agreement (MoU) applies to the entire VU. This means other researchers can now more easily collaborate with Huddersfield as well. Thanks to this partnership, new doctoral projects are being developed where scientists and law enforcement professionals work together on current cross-border issues. A great step towards increased international knowledge exchange and societal impact!
