Menopause is a natural stage of life, but its impact on work and well-being is still often underestimated. There are currently around 2 million working women who are 40+. Of these, 80% experience menopause symptoms such as palpitations, migraines, joint pain and difficulty concentrating. Research shows that due to shame and lack of knowledge, these complaints are often not discussed at work.
That is why VU Amsterdam organises the training 'Working vitally and the menopause': an interactive and informative session on the influence of hormones on your body, your energy and your functioning. You will gain practical knowledge about health, nutrition, lifestyle, stress and relaxation, with a focus on vitality in the workplace and at home.
Whether you are in transition yourself, support colleagues or are a manager: this training (in Dutch) is for everyone (women and men) who wants to make a difference in awareness and job satisfaction.
