Whether you’ve been publishing your academic work for years or are preparing your very first paper, you’ve likely encountered one or more of the growing challenges in academic publishing: rising costs, limited academic control, inequitable models, and outdated systems of recognition and reward. These issues aren’t just inconveniences; they are barriers to the sustainability of and access to academic research.
The Association of Universities in the Netherlands (UNL) is therefore working on a new national Open Access strategy. We are gathering input about the publishing concerns, needs and preferences of the research community of the Netherlands.
Please take out 10-15 minutes to fill out this anonymous survey and help build a system that actually works for you as a researcher: Fill in the survey here
The survey will be open until 31-12-2025. We also encourage you to share it widely with fellow researchers across disciplines and institutions. The broader the input, the stronger the strategy.
