SBE lets students learn with AI avatars

What if students could not only turn to each other, or to you as their lecturer, but also seek help from smart digital avatars that fully get the course material?

At VU Amsterdam’s School of Business and Economics (SBE), professor of Strategic Management and course coordinator Brian Tjemkes experimented with this futuristic learning approach. In a strategic case exercise, his students received support from avatars acting as digital top executives, guiding them throughout the process.

What did this look like in practice? And is this slowly pushing the role of the teacher into the background? Tjemkes shares his insights
