We were honoured to welcome Professor Jacqueline Bhabha as this year’s speaker, who delivered an inspiring lecture titled “Migration and Solidarity: Building a new ‘We’.” Professor Bhabha reflected on how government policies, through both action and inaction, shape the lives of refugees and migrants, as well as the resilience and solidarity of the communities that receive them.
The lecture sparked thoughtful discussions among participants about the challenges of fostering inclusion and sustaining solidarity in migration governance. The afternoon concluded with an informal gathering over snacks and drinks, providing space for continued exchange and connection.
A warm thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to this engaging and thought-provoking event.
