As rector, together with the teaching team, she is building a future-proof institute, where pastors and spiritual caregivers are trained and where research and reflection takes place from a liberal theological perspective at the intersection of church, society and culture. Rosaliene is a practical theologian, specialized in ecclesiology and community building and teaches the subject of practical ecclesiology within the seminary.
Annemarie Gerretsen, general secretary of the Remonstrants: “The combination of her administrative experience, her knowledge of the academic world, her expertise as a pastor and pastor and her interest in contemporary forms of meeting and believing, make Rosaliene ideally suited for the position of rector. Together with the team, she will build an institute that is not only organizationally sound, but can also make a substantial contribution to the liberal church of the future.”
Previously, Rosaliene was pastor-scribe of the General Church Council of the Protestant Church Amsterdam and supervisor of Christian communities. She will be awarded a PhD by the Protestant Theological University for research into Christian communities.
As of January 1, Rosaliene also starts as a Remonstrant pastor of Vrijburg, Amsterdam. On January 12 at 2:30 p.m., the service will take place in which she will enter as pastor of Vrijburg and pastor in general service of the Remonstrants, with the task of being the rectorate of the Arminius Institute. In this service, Rev. Rachelle van Andel, Rev. Bert Dicou and Rev. Rosaliene Israël.
