LEARNING PATH VALORISATION AND IMPACT
Have you ever thought about the impact your research or idea could have outside academia? Would you like to explore how you can increase the impact you are already making? IXA offers a new learning path on valorisation and impact. The aim? To inspire you and make you aware of the power of creating value and impact through your research, and how you can actually achieve that impact.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Are you a researcher at one of the Amsterdam knowledge institutes (UvA, VU, Amsterdam UMC and HvA) and interested in learning how to create impact with your idea or research? Then join this program. The learning path is particularly suitable for late-phase PhD students and Postdocs who want to become proficient in valorising their research.
THE CONTENT OF THE LEARNING PATH VALORISATION AND IMPACT
What can you expect from this Learning Path?
The Learning Path is composed of 2 modules of a total of 3 workshops interspersed with online information.
The first Module focuses on impact, what it means for you, how to create it, the challenges you’ll encounter and how to take the first steps to create impact. Module 2, consisting of two workshops, guides you in concretising your ideas or research results into a plan. You will make a stakeholder analysis and learn about the support available within the knowledge institute.
Throughout the course the focus will be on translating your research into an idea that can evolve into a service, product or way of public outreach. IXA organises the Learning Path Valorisation and Impact twice a year.
LOCATION
The workshops are alternately held at the VU Campus or one of the UvA campuses.
COSTS
Participation in this learning path is free of charge, but registration is required.
CERTIFICATE
Would you like a certificate of participation? You can request one after completing the learning path.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS SAY ABOUT THE LEARNING PATH
*****
The workshop helped to make my ideas a little more concrete, in addition it was nice to brainstorm about these ideas with others.
I found the different frameworks and models that were offered very useful. It helps to organise your thoughts and make a plan for the future.
The sessions were really inspiring, and also a good combination of practice with lecture. We had a lot of opportunities to discuss our ideas with each other
It's encouraged to find partners, rather than trying to do everything yourself.
