We are pleased to share that Martijn Stronks has published the special issue Time and Temporalities in European Migration Law with European Public Law.
The publication is the result of conferences co-organized at VU Amsterdam and Uppsala University, Sweden, and brings together a wide range of contributions at the intersection of European law, migration law, migration studies, and legal theory. The special issue examines how questions of time and temporality shape migration governance and legal frameworks. It addresses topics such as family life and migration law, permanent residence for EU citizens, temporary labour migration, temporal borders in the new Migration Pact, waiting time, and pre-removal detention.
By bringing these perspectives together, the issue highlights how temporalities affect both the rights of migrants and the broader functioning of European migration law.
