What drives researchers to choose Diamond Open Access, and what can still hold them back? Help us gain more insight into this via a short survey and contribute to the further development of fair, sustainable forms of Open Access publishing.
Diamond Open Access (DOA) is a publishing model where scientific publications are immediately freely available at no cost to authors or readers. This makes DOA an inclusive and community-oriented form of publishing, mostly supported by universities and non-profit publishers. Yet the model is still relatively unknown, and we would like to change that.
The survey is being conducted by two researchers within the UKB programme Strengthening Diamond Open Access in the Netherlands, and focuses mainly on the experiences of early-career researchers. The results will be shared in a research report and at a special event on Diamond Open Access on Wednesday 28 May in Utrecht. Register for the event here.
