In his keynote Maarten Lindeboom discusses his work Early Arrivals: How Preterm Birth Affects Mothers and Babies. Using longitudinal data and stress-related shocks, his research investigates the impacts of preterm birth on mothers’ post-birth labor market outcomes—an increasingly important topic in a world where climate factors and work-related stress have contributed to rising preterm birth rates.
