Join us for an in-depth dialogue with Martin Bohle, whose work sits at the intersection of geoscience, ethics, and the socio-cultural dimensions of the Anthropocene. Bohle will share insights from his recent and forthcoming publications, including his 2023 paper Crafting Attributes of a Geological Now as well as two newly released books The Anthropocene Working Group and the Global Debate Around a New Geological Epoch and Cross-Disciplinary Dialogues with the Earth Science.
He will also introduce his current research on Anthropocene systemism and rupture, and discuss ongoing editorial work for the Cultural Science Journal’s special issue The Human Condition for the Anthropocene: Being More-than-Human and the Handbook of the Anthropocene, where he serves as section editor for Earth Science and Society.
This session offers an opportunity to explore how geoscientific knowledge, ethical inquiry, and societal perspectives can together shape responsible and imaginative ways of inhabiting the Anthropocene.
