How does it work? Students start with an individual test (iRAT) to assess their knowledge. They then take the same test in teams (tRAT). Through discussion and argumentation, students compare their answers and work together to find the correct solution. Immediate feedback helps them reflect on their thought processes and deepen their understanding.
And here’s the challenge: students can appeal if they disagree with the question or the answer. If they can substantiate their stance with strong arguments, lecturers may decide to approve their answer after all.
A learning experience that emphasises collaboration, sharp reasoning, and analytical skills – perfectly aligning with the Mixed Classroom model, where students learn from and with each other.
