On October 25th, we celebrated a milestone in the history of the Joint MSc Entrepreneurship program of VU and UvA. A record-breaking 85 students received their diplomas, marking the largest graduating class in our program's history—a testament to the growing impact of our unique approach to entrepreneurial education.
The ceremony honored graduates who have transformed themselves through our distinctive blend of theory and practice. We were particularly proud to recognize Carina Pfiefer, this year's top-performing student, who earned the highest marks in her cohort. Neil Thompson conducted an inspiring on-stage interview with Carina, highlighting how she embodied our program's mission to develop entrepreneurial knowledge, skills, and attitude.
The event featured a distinguished panel discussion with Max Mulhuijzen, Arthur Oudendijk, and Filip Szturo, who generously shared their perspectives on the evolving entrepreneurial landscape and career opportunities. Their real-world insights perfectly complemented the practical challenges and cases our graduates tackled throughout the program, offering guidance for the exciting journeys ahead.
Adding a memorable touch to the celebration, Demi Jansen and Jaysyley Seedorf delivered a beautiful performance of "Best Day of My Life"—a fitting soundtrack for this momentous occasion.
This achievement reflects our entire community's collective effort. To our graduates: your dedication and entrepreneurial spirit have brought you to this proud moment. To our faculty and lecturers: your expertise bridging crucial theories with practical application has shaped the next generation of entrepreneurs. To our staff and support team: your tireless work makes everything possible.
As we celebrate this record-breaking class, we look forward to watching our graduates launch startups, drive innovation in established organizations, and make their entrepreneurial mark on the world.
Congratulations to the Class of 2024!
