Religious use of ayahuasca | De Nieuwe Wereld interviews André van der Braak

Share
2 October 2024
Ayahuasca is a mind-altering tea from the Amazon rainforest that is also increasingly used in shamanic ceremonies in the West.

For some, this is a lifestyle, others seek healing from depression, trauma or addiction, and still others try to connect with angels, bodhisattvas or spirits through ayahuasca spirituality.

Professor of Comparative Philosophy of Religion André van der Braak wrote a book about the religious use of ayahuasca: Ayahuasca as Liquid Divinity. Rogier van Bemmel van De Nieuwe Wereld interviewed him, watch the video here.
